Dhotrey

A small sleepy hamlet just on the periphery of the Singalila National Park Dhotrey or Dhotre use to be the collection centre for the forest department for collection of timber, In the olden days the logs were carried by a 5 kilometer long ropeway but there is no trace of that today. There is a small Khagyu sect monastery and the model village is the starting point for the Singalila as well as the Tonglu treks.
