Ramdhura

Ramdhura is a small village, situated at 5000 ft.and at a distance of just around 15 kilometers from Delo in Kalimpong of the state of West Bengal. The name Ramdhura is a combination of Ram (of Ramayana) and Dhura, which means village. The village is situated at a moderate height, and forest of pine and other hilly trees offers absolute tranquility. . A mesmerizing sunrise with its changing colors over Mt. Khangchendzonga is the main attraction. But the Teesta river, flowing beneath a majestic green valley, the pine forests, the Cinchona Plantation and flock of colorful birds and butterflies also attract the tourists here.

Sillerygaon

There are many myths and legends associated with the name Sillery. It is said to be a portmanteau derived from the word celery, which is a plant that grows in abundance in the region. This area also abounds in cinchona plantation, which was introduced in the region by the British as a source of quinine used for the treatment of malaria. Sillerygaon is covered in juniper and pine forests especially in the Silent Valley part of Village. This place is so quiet that it is said that sounds of pine leaves can be listened in the blowing of breeze that is why the place is named Silent Valley .One of the most spectacular places here is the Tinchuley view point. The Damsang Fort, is another place to visit due to its historical importance.

Pedong

Pedong lies 20 km east of Kalimpong on the way to Lava at an altitude of 1,240 metres (4.071 feet). The town, which is located on a ridge, commands a panoramic view of the Khangchendzonga and the other Himalayan peaks. Pedong lies on the historic Silk Road that connects India to Lhasa via the Jelepla Pass. Near Pedong are the ruins of Damsang Gadi, a historical fort built in 1690 AD by the Lepchas, The seat of Great king Gyabo Achuk. This Fort in later days was used to ward off the British East India Company during the Anglo Bhutanese war. Another highlight of the town is the Cross Hill, placed by priest Fr. Augustine Desgodins in 1882 AD on his way to Tibet. Sangchen Dorjee Monastery is one of the oldest monastery in Pedong-Kalimpong region and was built during the Bhutanese rule. This Monastery was established around the early 1700 AD.

Reshi

It is located on the bank of river Reshi and is a popular tourist spot. Located within a distance of 15 km from Pedong, this is an ultimate destination for bird watching and fishing in the region. It is one of the earliest tourist spots with the river forming the border between Sikkim & Bengal. Ideal place for angling and riverside camping.

Loleygaon

Located forty-five kilometres from Kalimpong Town this place of scenic beauty can be reached by bus or taxi in two and a half hours. It is a delight to tourists with its Wildlife, Jungle walks through the forests, a hanging bridge inside the dense forest, and a breathtaking view of Kalimpong town. An amazing view of Khangchendzonga can be enjoyed from here. A significant attraction is The Canopy Walk. There is a 180-meters long hanging wooden tree-top bridge that goes through the dense jungle.
